Gap Rewards Charitable People

Goodwill and Gap have partnered up to offer 30% off at any Gap, GapKids, babyGap, or GapBody store to individuals who bring in their Goodwill Clothing donation.

Everyone has that old bag of clothing hiding in the back of their closets. You know, the jean shorts from high school you’re still hoping to fit into, the over 30 free T-shirts you got in college, not to mention the new clothes you never bothered wearing.

No one wants to see their clothing go to waste, that’s why Goodwill is there to provide your lightly used clothing to individuals and families who may have trouble affording full-priced clothing. Goodwill not only provides for families, the organization works tirelessly to provide for communities and improve the environment.

Goodwill’s new movement, the “Donate Movement” asks Americans to recycle through donations, as the new icon represents.

Even though donation should not be done with the expectation that you will receive something in return, Goodwill still wants to show its appreciation. The organization wants to thank everyone who supports the Donate Movement by partnering with Gap to offer this very special discount. All you need to do is clean up that closet, get together a bag of clothes and head in to your local Gap store between May 19-29, 2011.

When you donate between these days you will get 30% off your order—it’s really that simple. If you don’t believe us, visit the Goodwill website to see the promotion.

The discount is applicable to all Gap items including regularly priced and sale items. Make sure to stop in before Memorial Day to pick out the perfect outfit for the family BBQ and to save 30% at the same time.

In a statement from Bobbi Silten, Head of Global responsibility and President of Gap Foundation, she explains the importance of this partnership to the Gap. “As a company, we invest in career exploration and job readiness for youth to help them prepare for the workforce. Giving our customers and employees opportunities to donate clothing in support of Goodwill’s job training programs is a great fit with our community efforts.”
